For complete instructions, refer to Test Procedure TP-2032. At a high level, verification involves:

  1. Check your reference values. Note the rated CU value on the CU Reference Box and the probe number assigned to your meter.
  2. Verify the meter and probe. Use the meter’s built-in checks to confirm the expected probe setting and zero reading.
  3. Connect the CU Reference Box. Remove the probe, connect the Reference Box, and take a reading.
  4. Confirm the result. Compare the meter reading with the Reference Box’s rated value using the correction chart provided for your probe number. The reading should be within ±2% of the expected value.

 

Important: Probe numbers are not interchangeable. Always use the probe that matches the meter’s designated probe number. Do not connect or substitute a probe with a different probe number. When the correct matching probe is used, the meter will provide the proper conductivity reading for the fuel.
