Product Overview
Marine distillate fuels, or sometimes refer to as Marine Gas Oil (MGO), are required to have less than 0.5% of sulfur, a significant decrease from the previous 3.5% prior to 2020. It is critical to ensure these low sulfur MGO’s cold flow operability is suitable for the cold temperature environment it will experience throughout the ship’s journey.
Phase Technology’s MFA-70Xi analyzer is the world’s first and only instrument that is specifically designed to test four important properties of MGO’s in one single unit —cloud point, pour point, viscosity and density. And, it does it all in less than 25 minutes!
Simple and easy to use, the MFA-70Xi performs all four tests with the single push of a button. Sample is automatically loaded, without the need of a pipette. An optional 48-position autosampler offers greater throughput and improved automation if desired. The MFA-70Xi is completely self-cleaning; no solvent is required.
The MFA-70Xi was developed to meet the growing needs of the marine fuel industry as they test MGO distillate fuels. This includes DMX, DMA, DMZ, and DMB (also known as DFA, DFZ, DFB).
