Antek Instruments, was founded in 1967 as a manufacturer's representative. Developing a pattern that would carry us into the new millennium, we began listening and responding to customer needs by designing and manufacturing custom gas chromatographs in 1968. In 1975 we developed a chemiluminescent detection method for the analysis of chemically bound nitrogen.

Patents were issued in the U.S. and the U.K. in 1977 and 1978. In the 1980s we developed and patented sulfur detection methods and a simultaneous nitrogen/sulfur detection method. Although there have been several generations with significant improvements and interfaces with other technology, the original principles of detection are still used in our nitrogen & sulfur detectors and analyzers—laboratory & process/on-line.

We see a future in instrumentation with greater speed, sensitivity and versatility, increased user-friendliness, customization, automation and reliability, as well as higher levels of customer service and application support.
