Ultra low temperature
cold behavior testing -- powerful, portable
POUR
POINT
ASTM D 97, D 5950, D 5853, IP 15, ISO 3016, JIS K2269
CLOUD
POINT
ASTM D 2500, D 5771, IP 219, IP 444, ISO 3015, JIS K2269
The CPP 5Gs'
powerful, built-in cooling system (patent pending) enables testing of
petroleum samples with ultra low temperature pour and/or cloud points...
below –90°C (-130°F)! Utilizing the power of automation, this
instrument increases lab productivity and greatly improves reproducibility
and repeatability. Simple, completely unattended operation frees
technician time while a compact foot print and auto-switching power supply
make this unique portable instrument available whenever and wherever
needed.
Completely
self-contained cooling system
- enables ultra-low temperature testing
- saves energy
- eliminates the heat, noise, external liquid connections and toxic
coolant vapors of external cooling units
Compact
and portable; easily moves throughout your lab to the area where
needed
 Endurance
tested and proven for long-term operation
 Networked,
PC-controlled operation & data management available with ISL's ALAN® (Automatic
Laboratory Analyzer Network) system
Safe,
simple operation
Simply fill a test
jar with sample and load it into the CPP 5Gs, selecting the appropriate
test head (pour or cloud point) for your analysis of choice. The
instrument guides you through a quick setup. Press "Start," and
testing begins immediately with jacket cooling controlled in according
with the selected test method.
The
CPP 5Gs, determines pour point
of petroleum products by actually tilting the sample as described by the
manual test method--no turning, pressing or twisting. An optical detection
system in the testing head precisely monitors movement. Test results from
this test method can be determined at 1°C, 2°C and 3°C intervals. This
test method yields a D 97 / IP 15 equivalent pour point when the 3°C
interval results are reported.
Cloud
point is determined using an
optical detection system similar to pour point's. The instrument emits
light down through the sample, identifying within a resolution of 0.1ºC
when crystal formation develop.
Results
value is displayed and memorized in non-volatile memory. The result may be
transferred to a LIMS and/or printed out when a printer is connected. The
sample is then re-heated to ambient temperature to accommodate the next
run.
Computer
control and data management with ALAN®
When connected to a PC with the
ALAN® (Automatic Laboratory Analyzer Network) 32-bit multi-tasking
software under Windows® 9x/NT, the CPP 5Gs provides numerous advanced
features:
-
start tests from a PC, choosing from an unlimited number of test programs
- save results to a database
- edit cooling profiles
- customize reporting
- automatically export data to LIMS according to a user defined protocol
- and much more...
