Hydrocarbon Group Type Analysis
Test Methods
ASTM D5443, ASTM D6839, EN 14517, IP 382, IP 566, ISO 22854, EN ISO 22854

The Reformulyzer® M3 is the industry standard for quantitative analysis of saturates, olefins, aromatics, and oxygenates in spark-ignition engine fuels by multidimensional gas chromatography. The Reformulyzer is based on a multi-dimensional column switching technique. After sample introduction, a set of columns and traps separates the sample into different hydrocarbon groups. The multi-dimensional technique determines carbon number distribution for the different component classes.
Operation is simple with its user-friendly software interface. Powerful, integrated diagnostic tools enable automated validation through quality control samples.
The application resides on an easy-to-use, compact Agilent Technologies 7890A gas chromatograph, configured with
- A flame ionization detector (FID)
- TPI inlet with electronic pneumatics control (EPC)
- All valves, columns, and traps are mounted in a separate extension of the system for easy access
Applications
Multidimensional Group Type, Aromatics, Olefin, Oxygenates, Gasoline Characterization, Gasoline
