Accurate Fuel Composition Analysis

Fuel composition analysis is critical to maintaining fuel quality, regulatory and environmental compliance, and consistency of performance.

Jet Fuel Analysis
Standard tests (ASTM D3241 or IP323) are required for every batch of jet fuel produced to ensure oxidation stability of the fuel. PAC offers industry-proven instruments to help you meet ASTM and IP requirements for jet fuel analysis.

• Alcor JFTOT Performs jet fuel thermal oxidation tests to rate the deposits on tested heater tubes.
• Alcor VTDR Analyzes JFTOT heater tube deposits, rates the results, and creates a permanent electronic record

Gasoline Analysis
PAC’s AC Analytical Controls and PetroSpec analyzers provide detailed hydrocarbon analysis to determine the components in petroleum streams and crude oil, and are compliant with ASTM D5134, D6729, D6730, and D6733.

• AC Reformulyzer Mark 3 (M3) Provides a complete identification and quantification of all hydrocarbon types, oxygenates, and carbon number distribution
• AC Detailed Hydrocarbon Analyzers (DHA) DHA characterizes the composition of hydrocarbon streams and complies with ASTM methods D5134, D6729, D6730 and D6733
• PetroSpec GS PPA Performs characterization of the gasoline composition with far more repeatable and reproducible results than any other standard ASTM method

Diesel Fuel & Blending Streams Analysis
PAC’s Herzog and PetroSpec analyzers are designed to analyze diesel fuel and blending streams with minimal operator intervention.

• Herzog Cetane ID 510 Analyzes Derived Cetane Number using a fully automated “one button” approach for maximum ease of use and simplicity when calibrating the instrument or running a test sample
• PetroSpec TD PPA Determines multiple chemical and physical properties of the widest blend of diesel fuel for lab or portable use; with its proven performance, it enables fast verification of fuel quality and specifications
